Hi guys!

Well it has been an uneventful few months as the shoulder has had to be rested. I have not managed to play much golf but i noticed an event in Madrid on a new mini tour. I thought it would be a good time to get out there and give the shoulder a good test. I have the Ladies European Tour starting in a month and need to get myself into it. I traveled with my mate Felicity Johnson. It was lovely weather too, better than the UK. We played a pro am on the Thursday which was fun. A texas scramble with 5 people but sadly 2 of my players did not turn up!! we had it against us but i must say we did not do bad considering. Round 1 was on Friday, i was drawn with Anna Belen Sanchez ( a good friend of mine) and a very good amateur who hit it a very long way :) I struck the ball very well i have to say. At the end of the day i was happy but the score did not reflect the way i played. I shot 4 over and was lying 12th. At the moment i am heavy into losing weight and training for the Race for Life in June so i got back to the hotel and went for a run!!!! i know a bit keen for me but i am feeling very dedicated right now. Day 2, I had decided i was going to give it my best shot and see what happened. I started very well, just nice and steady. I was 3 under after 9 holes after some great birdies and some wonderful saves :) I was 5 under for the day going down 15 and feeling very confident but i short sided myself on the left side. Hit a good chip but had a 6 footer for par. Great putt but horseshoed out of the cup :( I was very happy but the 16th is a hole where you could have gone two ways!! I chose the wring way and made double bogey... at this point i was very annoyed but thought just got two holes left so must finish this off. I par'd the last two holes and finished 8th. That is not bad but if i had just par'd in from 15 i would have finished 2nd!! you know what in this game we are forever learning, we have to make the right decisions at the right time.

On the 18th of April i have a day event at Roehampton Golf Club which i am looking forward to as i am playing with my very good friends Marie Allen and Jo Morley!! I am off today to do some hard practice for it... depending on how the shoulder holds up.. fingers crossed for me :)

Ok so i have grouped the last two events together as i was injured for 3 weeks and as it got in the way of me playing and i missed the last two cuts. I have found out i have a twisted rib cage and a damaged rotator cuff which is very dissapointing as i went all that way and sadly got injured. We have no idea how i did it either. It was a long way to go for this to happen. I didnt find out this was the case til the 4th week and i got strapped up but with a 1st round of 84 i had a lot of work to do. I was still not going to give up.... i tried my hardest but nothing really worked. I shot a 2nd round of 1 over which was a lot better but i think i was a bit more used to the pain. So i have come home now and i am very pleased to be back as i have a lot of work to do on getting myself fit and ready for the start of 09 european season. I will be playing the sunningdale foursomes on the 17th March with a very close and good friend of mine Jo Morley ( Solhiem Cup Vice Capitain ) so i am very much looking forward to that. Hi all...

Well i gave it my all today and tried to come back in the wind and the cold. The neck was still suck a big problem. I couldnt move freely and it was very painfiul. Nothing went my way and in the end i just thoguht this is not going to happen as i was so many over par. Believe it or not even with a back neck i only missd the cut by one but i thought this would nto be a bad thing i am hoping it will give my neck time to heal. I will be finding the physio next week to do some work on it. So sadly this has not been a very sucessful week. Onto the Gold Coast... :)

Well i have to say not the best start to a tournament week... where do i start?  We flew to Christchurch on Monday and it was raining and very cold. Not good when i didnt pack one pair of trousers or a jumper, never thought i would need either when i was coming over this part of the world but boy i wwas wrong lol!!! THEN i was sat minding my own busines one afternoon and my laptop decided to give up the ghost which was very annoying when i wanted to make sure you guys knew what i was upto! I have replaced it with a mini one for now ha ha just for all of you he he. The i woke up one morning with a huge pain in my neck and back. It seems i have a trpped nerve somewhere due to the muscles in my back getting far too tight. I was not sure i was going to be able to play today but i did manage to get round in one piece. The only problem was i did not play too well because of it. I was 4 over after nine holes thinking i am not sure how i was going to play good golf on the back nine so it didnt get any worse. I fought very hard through the pain and managed to make 2 birdies on the back nine. I finished with 3 over but this has not put me out of the picture so hoping i will feel a bit better tmrw and shoot a good score to get back in the game. I will tell you all that my putter is working very well which is very nice feeling for a change. So now i am going off to have a soak in the bath and have a lot of heat put on my neck hoping it will improve it for the morning. So fingers crossed for me please. Chat tmrw bye bye for now :)

Firstly i can say the weather was a lot better today which was nice. I believe it was around 30 degrees which was alot easier to cope with. I went out of the blocks a lot better and was 2 under after 10 holes. I am not too keen with the 11th and it was a run of bad luck. I made 3 bogies on the run which was not the plan. So within 3 holes i went to 1 over. I then had to fight hard as the back nine is not the easiest on the golf course. I held it together and holed a great putt on the last green for birdie, nice way to finish the week. It put me into 14th position on my own. Overall not a bad start to the year.... I changed putters at the begining of the week to see if it would help ( a new victoria 2 made by Yes putters ) I can say that it definatly helped and a lot more putts found the bottom of the hole. I am hoping this is the way it will remain for the rest of the year!! fingers crossed. :) Tmrw we are heading our way to New Zealand which is somewhere i have not yet seen although i have been on tour for a wee while now!! ok so today was a very hard day at the office as the temperatures soared to 43 degrees. It was very hard to get round the golf course as it took a lot out of you. I started pretty good but sadly faded a bit with a double bogey on the back nine. I tried to make a couple birdies coming home but sadly it did not happen for me. I have gone down to joint 13th spot and hoping tmrw will be a better day. We are going home to have a dip in the pool i think to try and cool ourselfs down. Plus myself and Felicity Johnson are into the tv series lost at the moment so think might have to watch a few episodes to chill out. So will be back tmrw to let you know how it goes...

Well firstly i want to say sorry for being away for so long. 2008 was a tough year mentally for me so i decided to just focus on my golf as it was a large effort for me. I would like to say it worked as i managed to finish 39th on the order of merit which was a very nice surprise. So i am back on track and i hope this year i will do the right thing and get on here as often as possible to let you all know what is going on :)

Ok so i took the long trip to Sydney on the 18th Jan and arrived very tired on the 20th which was the Tuesday of the week of the event. My golf clubs managed to get lost along the way which i was a bit worried about for a little while. They made it to me for the Wednesday afternoon. I was not too worried though as it was so hot i didn't want to do too much anyway. Also i have been having a tough time with jet lag. I am not making it past 8.30 pm at the moment..... right party animal ha ha. Thursday was the day of the Pro Am .. had a great team and had a lot of laughs out there. I think i can say that one of them played very well and maybe a bit of a bandit .. sorry Duncan if you are reading this... so anyway we got 96 point and won!!! I would also like to add that i had 6 birdies too :) so was a good day out.

Today was the first round of the tournament. I teed off at 8 am with Jo Mills and Dana Lacey, i got a very nice draw which was nice. started very nicely and with and eagle i was 3 under after nine holes. The back nine was not so hot. I have a slight injury in my left hand and that caused a bit of pain on the back nine but it is no excuse. I hit some not so good   shots but i managed to get away with it a few times. I finished with a lovely putt on the par 3 18th for birdie to put myself at 4 under for the day. The lead is 7 under. I am teeing off in the height of the sun tmrw, 11.30. I am hoping it will be another great day at the office. I will let you know :)

Only me again :)

Had a great couple of days at home and then arrived in a surprisingly sunny Belfast. For the first week in a long time i was not in the Pro am so i got the thursday off. I went to the golf course to practice a little bit as i really wanted to play well this week. While i was there at the golf course i met a guy called Martin who has started a very funky business called shaftskinz.com ( consists of putting funky patterns on the shafts of your clubs). I fell in love with the candy pink ones and he kindly said he would put them on all of my irons. On my putter he put a flame pink one which i thought was good as i wanted my putter to become hot for the week... All in the mind!!!   I had my boyfriend join me to caddy which helped also for the week. I went out in the first round and i have to say i played pretty poorly but i fought really hard for a +5 77. This wasn't too bad as the average score for the day was +2. The greens were very firm which made it hard to stop the ball on the greens. Day 2... it had rained over night so it made the greens a bit softer. I went out in the rain and played very good and also the putter became a bit hotter so shot level 72 in tough conditions this moved me up 30 spots so going the right way up the leaderboard. Day 3.. it had rained alot so again the greens had softened up more perfect for my game. It was raining very hard and i was very lucky to have a caddy to make the game a bit easier. I went out and only had 25 putts so the score was low!!! -5 67 with 7 birdies. I loved it out there as i played great in tough conditions. I moved up to 9th spot and took home a few pennies for the week. Hey again   :)

After a very long journey i made it to sunny Rome, a beautiful city. Very lucky to visit so many lovely places and the weather was something else, averaging 30 degrees. Very hot week so was hoping the golf would be hot with it!!!! I stayed in a house with some very close friends of mine on tour so i had a very fun week, played lots of games in the evenings...... lots of fun!!!

So the golf i guess is more important to report on..... I went out in the first round and shot a good score or 2 under 70 which was not bad but again the putter was feeling a bit cold. Set me up for the rest of the week.. although the top score after day one was -8, very good score. Day 2.. i went out again and played very nice golf but scored a +3 75. That was with a great birdie on the last to make the cut on the button :) also meant i was still in the barings bank competition for the year ( this is a separate competition where i have to make 9 cuts at certain events). For day 3 i went out with a good friend Liz Esterl and we flew round the course as we were first which was fantastic, again struck the ball great but nothing really happening yet... alot of chances but did not take them. Day 4 i thought i would just go for it as i had nothing to lose. I had a terrible start with 4 over after just 5 holes so i thought ok now i just have to fight to get it back to a decent score so that is what i did. I managed to get two shots back but then stupidly double bogey the last, all that hard work wasted!!! oh well not the best event but i am still in the barings bank and to top it off i am leading it!!! Something good to focus on for the rest of the year. I am now home for a couple days before getting on the road again to Northern Ireland. It is nice to me in my own bed even if it is only for one night!!   :)

Ok all i am going now as i have a load of ironing and packing to do. Cant wait till i earn enough money to get someone else to do all that for me!!

Hey all

I beautiful place to be but sadly i found the golf very hard work this week. One of the biggest prize funds of the year so i had been hoping for a good solid finish. I knew from last year it was going to be great golf course with very very fast greens which i find tough but i had prepared in my head for it. I went out the first day with the wind blowing hard and managed to card a +4 76 but i had far too many putts. I got a bit scared on the fast greens. so i went to the putting green hoping i could get it right for the following morning. I knew the course was playing quite easy but i needed to shoot a level par round at the most so woke up the following morning ready to go. I went out there again with best intentions but the greens got me....... I tried and battled for 18 holes but nothing quite happened for me. Shot a +3 75 and missed the cut by 2 which was a shame. I got two days off to get prepared for next week in Rome, Italy. I like the golf course there so we will see what next week can bring me   :) A positive out of this week i played very well in the wind as that was a tough factor out there, Just start getting the wee ball in the hole and we are on a run!!

Another week has passed and another story to tell. I arrived in Valencia and the sun was beating down on me. So knew it was going to be a hot week, hoping my golf was going to be hot too!!! I   was   again   in the pro am on the wednesday so another great practice round. I had a fantastic team who played brilliantly,my golf was not much to be desired as i found the course very short and you had to lay up everywhere off the tee. So i thought initially that this was not going to be the course for me but decided to make sure i   gave it 100 % . On the thursday i had a early start, hitting the ball only average i had to work for a +2. Found out later that +2 was the cut line, lots of work to do. Next day the conditions were perfect and i had decided not to mess around and just get my driver out on most holes as it is the best club in my bag, seemed crazy not to be using it. I shot -2 and it could have been a hole lot better. Lying good going into round three but again had a bit of a hiccup. +7 with 3 double bogey's what a pain again. I was not going to give up though. My putting had started to leave me and the golf swing was not feeling in the best shape but i battled really hard on the final day finishing with a -2 again. Good come back but the confidence has been shattered a little bit. The course was a bit like that though, great greens and trees in the middle of fairways just to make the game interesting. The good score on the sunday did not do alot for my standing though which left a bit of a bad taste in the mouth. I am now working really hard on getting mentally ready for Switzerland next week as it is a big tournament and on friday my man is joining me so have a great caddie on the bag too!!!   :) heres to next week !!!

Hi All :)

So after a long 2 months off i landed in Tenerife ready to go again. After my great performance last year i had great memories for this years tournament. We were back to Golf del Sur in the south of Tenerife which is where we had the tournament in 2002 when i first turned pro. I remembered then the wind was a major factor and over the years nothing had changed!!! I was in the Pro am on the Wednesday which was nice as used that as my practice round as did not fancy playing too much in the wind. I managed to pullmyself a great team and finished third!! got myself a nice little trophy to take home. Something else for my mum to give a little polish :)     Met some   really nice   members of the club and they kindly lent me their powacaddy for the week so that was a bonus. So i had a later start on the Thursday which meant a day in the wind as it picks up at lunchtime. The morning people had a lovely still morning. i played pretty good and shot =2 with a few too many putts but still in it. Next morning i got up and we were not so lucky with the wind... it was windy in the morning. shot +3, at this stage i was not sure i was going to make the cut but to much surprise i made it on the button. So all to play for over the weekend. Well saturday did not go to plan, shot +6, im not sure where it came from but i was pretty down that i managed to do that. Got up the following morning and just thought nothing to lose out there now, the wind was still blowing really hard and made it very tough. I had +1 on the Sunday and that moved me up a total of 20 spots so worth while grinding it out. Shame i did not finish better as struck the ball really good. See what we can do next week in Valencia.....

G'day Guys!!

So the ANZ Masters did not quite go to plan for me. I was really looking forward to it  as it has been a great event for me over the past couple of years. I started early on the Thursday... and played not too bad. Bit off and on but was 2 under with 2 to play. Then proceeded to get in a bit of trouble on 17 which followed to a bogey then 18th i am not quite sure what happened :o) i went in the water off the tee and tried to just move it forward for me to make a bogey and get out of there but it rocketed out of the rough onto the other side of the fairway caught the path and bounded into the water by the green. So another drop, place it onto the green and nearly holed the putt but it was a tap in double. That did manage to leave a bad taste in the mouth. I was still positive for the next day. The course was playing shorter than years gone by. Went to the first tee ready to go but the first couple of holes did not go the right way and then felt i was battling all day. I was not playing the best either as now i was under a bit of pressure. To cut a long story short i missed the cut by a long way so this year the course was not so nice to me. All i can say is onto the next which will not be till May now so i will take the long journey home and get back to the drawing board ready for Tenerife. Have to say i have really enjoyed Australia and look forward to going back next year. Off now to do the admin side of things and change my flight home so you all take care and be in touch soon.
